Okay, now that we’re done picking and fretting that the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao fight didn’t happen, can those who have the power to make this fight happen please get on their cell phones?
Mayweather is finished with the business of having to fight Sugar Shane Mosley. In a few weeks, Pacquiao will be done with his second attempt at getting a seat in Congress.

Fans have reluctantly forgiven the two and their camps for not making the fight erupt last March but their patience can only last so long before they give up on this dream of seeing the most explosive battle boxing can offer today.
Do all the drug tests. Agree on a venue. Settle the money issues. Determine the pay-per-view sharing. Map out the promotional tour.
Get ready for the press conference and weigh-in where Mayweather will taunt Pacman endlessly and will get nothing but an icy response. It’s not a language thing because Pacquiao’s English is so much better now than when he first landed in America. It’s just that Pacquiao is no trash talker.
Get the HBO 24/7 production crew ready because aside from all the tales we know about Pacquiao and Mayweather there will be more to tell. Like if Pacquiao wins his political race or if Mayweather has something new to say on how many men have been placed before him and all of them fell on the wayside.
Pacquiao versus Mayweather is a fight these two great boxers owe the sport. They could go on their own trilogy if they decide to do so and we wouldn’t really mind. All we want is for the issue of who is the better fighter to be decided inside the ring and nowhere else.
Trying to speculate and analyze what would happen if they met in the ring is delightful sport talk but can really get old very quickly.
Mayweather may call himself as the best of his era but that claim will remain doubtful until he fights Pacquiao. He knows it and everybody else does. Pacquiao has always said that he will fight anyone his promoter puts in front of him. But he also knows that his legend will be more complete if he fights and beats Mayweather.
Let’s not go into the future with the memories of this glorious era of boxing without this fight. I wouldn’t want to be in some coffee shop reminiscing about this time and not having Pacquiao-Mayweather to talk about.
