dominated the Atalanta Hawks to win Game 1 of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series with a 43 point gap, 114-71, Tuesday night in Orlando.
Center Dwight Howard also dominated the game to give the Magic an early boost to win. He finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. All of those blocks were gathered in the first half of the game.
“The thing we talked about in the seven or eight days (since their last series) is when we have a lead, we have to dominate and not give them any confidence,” Howard said.
Game 2 will still be in Orlando Thursday, May 6.
