DAVAO CITY, Philippines --- (UPDATE) A person was killed while at least nine persons were wounded when a grenade exploded inside a mosque in the village of Batulawan in Pikit, North Cotabato on Sunday night.
Senior Inspector Maria Joyce Birrey, public information officer of the provincial police command, said the 7:15 p.m. blast killed Manuel Tautin, who died before reaching the Cruzado Hospital.
Wounded were Abdullah Mohammad Ali, 28; Ansari Edris, 38; Solaiman Kalim, 64; Ibrahim Badrudin, 67; Kison Palalisan, 72; Datukan Akmad, 40; Sindatok Sangkay, 52; Johnny Oboy Matalam, 50; and Norodin Hamsa.
