Orlando passed their first round playoffs series test against Charlotte with ease, sweeping the Bobcats 4 games to none. The Hawks, on the other hand, had some trouble and needed a deciding Game 7 against Milwaukee to get to this point of the tournament. Needless to say, Orlando have some advantage over Atlanta in terms of how well rested the team is.
This series is very important to the Magic squad but it’s even bigger for the Hawks. For Orlando, they want to of course win the conference finals again to get another shot at the NBA championship. For Atlanta, it is a history in the making. If they win against Orlando, they will be the only Hawks team to go to the Eastern Conference finals.
Prediction: No sweep this time for Orlando but they will win this series in 6.
